Photographic

Well, I finally bit the bullet and went to get Samuel's pictures taken. After realizing that he is 7.5 months old and the only professional picture (yes, just one) I have of him is his newborn picture in the hospital, I decided it was time to document this stage of his life before he is bigger than he already is. We went to Sears Portrait Studio (to be honest, it isn't my favorite place, but they get the job done), and I took Jackson along ready to go just in case he decided he felt like being in the pictures, too. Jackson isn't very cooperative when it comes to being photographed. He never really has been. He pretty much does the opposite of what you want him to do, so I was hoping for one of the two boys together and one of the three of us along with pictures of Samuel. My predictions were right on target...Jackson wasn't into it much, but Samuel was a little ham! I was quite pleased on how the photos turned out. Here are some of my favorites:

We're Going To Be Friends

Have I mentioned lately how much I love seeing these two play together?
Samuel has just begun to discover how to play with toys and loves playing with most anything. And Jackson...well, Jackson loves playing with whatever toy Samuel wants to play with at any given moment.

But there are those occasional moments when they actually play together. And I love it.

Watching The Lion King together:

Playing in the ball pit (this was actually one of Samuel's Christmas gifts...but I wouldn't get it out until he could sit up by himself):

More reading (I love how the boys love their books):

They might not know it yet, but they have a friend in each other for life.

Make New Friends

Today we had a playdate with Chrissy, one of my friends from high school, and her two little cuties. It was great catching up, and the kids played well together.

Samuel and Ian were good playmates, sharing toys and baby babble. Ian is about 5 weeks younger than Samuel.

Jackson liked playing in Addison's room. Addison is 3 weeks older than Jackson. I didn't get a picture of Addison, but she is adorable. She is so sweet, and I was really impressed with how well (and clearly) she spoke.

When we left, we weren't in the car but 3 minutes before Jackson was OUT! I guess he just had too much fun!

Loved seeing you guys and can't wait to do it again!
