Blessings

I am thankful that we are all finally healthy again.

I am thankful for shelter and food and a job that I love.

I am thankful for a wonderful and supportive family.

But most of all, I am thankful for these two little people who bring so much joy to my life. I fall in love with them again and again each day. And each time I am amazed with the beauty and innocence they exude.

Puke

Poor Samuel got his first stomach bug. He started vomiting on Saturday evening about every 15 minutes for 5 hours. I had to go to work that night, so luckily my mother was able to handle the majority of the sickness.

Sam just wasn't himself for a couple of days. In fact, I kept him home from daycare until yesterday. I hate seeing my baby sick, but I sure enjoyed all the cuddles.

Unfortunately, the bug was passed to my mom, dad, and I. Fortunately, Jackson never did. Must be that rockin' immune system from all the sickness he experienced last year...

You Are My Sunshine

11 Months Old.

So sweet.

Samuel likes bathes and getting his teeth brushed (of which there are 4).

He pulls up.

All the time.

And occasionally takes a face plant while crawling over things.

Samuel is a jokester. He will bite down on his spoon while I'm feeding him.

And he likes to pretend to turn over during his diaper changes. He will just giggle...

He is a very extremely picky eater. His favorite food is muffins. He still nurses 5 times a day. We are working on using a sippy cup independently.

Samuel's favorite toys are trucks, cars, any vehicle that rolls. His favorite things to do are drive trucks and throw things. He also likes to carry around his bat.

He melts my heart with his blue eyes and sweet smile.

He waves bye-bye and gives (slobbery) kisses.

And he points that little finger. I love little pointing fingers.

Samuel Wrye, I love every minute of my existence with you. I can't believe you will be 1 in a month. You are my sunshine.

They All Look Alike

I totally stole this idea from my friend Katherine.

Who wore it better?

Samuel: 10.5 months; Jackson: 7.5 months

Jackson: 21 months; Samuel: 10.5 months

And the size comparatives are interesting, too...

I think they are both a.dor.a.ble.

Happy Birthday

Happy birthday to my Dad!

We went to Bonefish to celebrate (even though I felt like I had been hit by a train...dosed up on Advil...thanks flu).

While there, Jackson got to try a big boy booster seat for the first time.

He did great. And the meal was delicious. (I got a little snap happy while we were waiting on the food to be served).

After, we went back to the house for pumpkin torte (Dad doesn't like cake) and presents. Jackson picked out a pair of Broby houseshoes for Dad.

You're welcome.

I Smile

Because they make me smile.

Philharmonic Fairytales

This past week I have had the priviledge to present the first half of EPO's Lollipop Concerts with 11 musicians, 2 dancers and Maestro Savia. The concerts were "informances" geared towards ages 3, 4, and 5. I wrote, narrated, hired, booked, publicized...you name it, I did it. There were six shows and entertained in access of 1200 children and 180 adults. I felt proud and blessed to work with such talented people in producing an art educational event for the community.

Here are some pics from the rehearsal:

And the cast of characters:

I am now sufficiently worn out and ready for a week off to recharge the batteries.
